Kolkata, 13 January 2020: Mohun Bagan to face Punjab FC in a crucial I League away tie. Mariners back of four consecutive wins will try to keep their winning momentum going before the all important Derby match on 19-Jan-2020. Punjab FC on the other hand is unbeaten in last 6 games and a force to reckon with specially in home conditions.

There are no injury concerns for the Mariners but the inclement weather conditions in Ludhiana poses a tough challenge for Mohun Bagan’s free flowing passing football. It is raining heavily in Ludhiana and the travelling team did not get a chance to practice in main stadium to prevent any further damages to the playing pitch. Coach Kibu Vicuna in pre match press conference mentioned “The current condition is not suitable to play but I hope in next 24 hours it won’t rain and weather would be good to play”. He also mentioned even if it is raining the temperature is not as bad as Kashmir.
The match is scheduled to start from 2 PM tomorrow and if rain continues then teams might not get chance to warm up in the main pitch to prevent any damages to the ground. Kibu Vicuna might try the new foreigner Komron Tursunov before the all important derby match as a substitute.
