Kolkata, 29th July, 2019: The auspicious Mohun Bagan Day to commemorate the club’s historic feat of becoming the first Indian club to win IFA Shield by beating British team East Yorkshire Regiment was celebrated in club tent on 29th July. A full house saw Mohun Bagan celebrate the day in style as the event kicked off when junior players garlanded the statue of legendary Gostha Pal. Afternoon session started with an exhibition match involving former players which ended in a 1-1 draw. Highlights of the day was the felicitation of dignitaries and awards in different categories. The newly elected secretary of IFA, Joydeep Mukherjee graced the occasion and the club felicitated him for his new role.
